I understand that Disclosure and Barring Service, Disclosure Scotland and Access Northern Ireland are Executive Agencies that carry out specific checks and then issue certificates which give details of an individual’s criminal convictions, or state that they have none. I hereby authorise Checks & Processing Ltd through CBS Screening Limited to verify the information presented in my application for a criminal record check, for the purpose of performing a Basic Disclosure check through the relevant Executive Agency.
If required I authorise the organisation requesting this check to scan and upload the completed certificate into the online Basic Disclosure application system to enable a recruitment decision to be made. I confirm that my consent is explicit, fully informed and freely given for the purposes of obtaining a disclosure certificate as stated above.
By signing this declaration, I agree that I have provided complete and true information in support of the application and that I understand that knowingly making a false statement for this purpose is a criminal offence.
I have read and understood the DBS statement of fair processing and consent to the Responsible Organisation receiving an electronic notification once the application has been processed which states either the ‘Certificate contains no information’ or ‘Please wait to view applicant certificate’.
I declare that the information I have given is complete and correct. I understand that to knowingly make a false statement in this application is a criminal offence. I will give any additional information that may be required to verify the information given and will immediately notify any changes to this information.
Due to the comprehensive checking done on an Enhanced Check they can take longer in certain circumstances.
Here is the Enhanced Check process:
Stage 1. Application Received
Stage 2. Police National Computer Search
Stage 3. Child & Adult Barring List & List 99 Search where applicable
Stage 4. Additional Police Checks
Stage 5. Certificate Issued/Dispatched
At present 85% of enhanced disclosures are returned within 10 working days but can take up to 30 working days . This date commences from the date you have submitted all relevant information to us
Limitation of liability
In no event shall Checks & Processing, nor any of its officers, directors and employees, shall be held liable for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of this Website whether such liability is under contract. Checks & Processing, including its officers, directors and employees shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your use of this Website.

Delays out of our control.
Delays you have getting the requested documents to us. Our team will send emails to request these documents. After 30 days if you still have not submitted the relevant documents our service can be canceled.
In the event that our service has not reached your requirements and you are unsatisfied please notify us via our customer support team within 12 hours.
Our team will then address this and provide you with a refund. You will need to provide your Order ID for us to locate your order for your reimbursement.
If your refund is submitted after the 12 hour period and your application has already been processed, we can provide you with a full refund minus a £30.00 administration fee.
If you require your order to be cancelled, it is important that you notify us immediately as we are unable to cancel orders that have already been submitted. Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 all orders processed are considered ‘custom’ and therefore the statutory 7 day return period would not apply.
Once your order has been submitted one of our customer service advisers will get in touch with you to ensure we have correct information. If any requested documentation is not received within 30 days, your application will be considered incomplete, voided and with no refund provided.
